So far this year, 132 law enforcement officers have been shot in the line of duty. Tragically, 15 of those officers made the ultimate sacrifice as a result of gunfire.

Behind every number is a name, a family, a department, and a community forever changed.

Today, we honor the courage, dedication, and selfless service of the men and women who put on the badge and stand between danger and those they serve. We also remember the heroes who never made it home.
